The Giant Cuttlefish really are spectacular, and who knows what else we might see along the way?

It’s worth remembering the Giant Cuttlefish are quite often in fairly shallow waters so even from our boat, we can get a relatively close up look at them. And many of the Giant Cuttlefish really are giant, (up to 60cm long!), so you’ll get a great view.

This is the best tour I’ve done. It was a fantastic view of these amazing cuttlefish. Great to see them in their breeding habitats and so busy doing their thing from the boat. I felt like I saw everything and got lots of information offered in a very amusing way. Can’t recommend it enough. Great the public can experience this in an environmental sensitivity.

Visiting a living native shellfish habitat in the beautiful calm and clear waters of Coffin Bay, and watching it through the Cutty's glass-bottom boat was a special experience. It was wonderful  to see the healthy oysters and other shellfish in their natural surroundings, with little goby fishes scooting around them. Eco-tour guide Manny is convivial, knowledgeable and passionate about the Coffin Bay marine environment, especially the rare and threatened Angasi Oyster habitat. Two Cutty's staff were present on the tour, ensuring support, on-board safety, and education throughout the engaging 1-hour experience on the water. There was time for questions and comments, taking photos and video, and sharing environmental stories about the unique and special marine environment that is Coffin Bay on southern Eyre Peninsula.
