Where is the departure point?
All Coffin Bay tours depart from the Coffin Bay Yacht Club, located at 146 The Esplanade. To find us, head down to the marina pontoon to berth B1. If you need assistance, feel free to ask a local or look for a staff member in a purple shirt.

What time should I arrive?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the departure time to allow for check-in and boarding.
How long does it take to get there from Port Lincoln?
We are located 43 km from the Port Lincoln CBD, so please allow about 35 minutes of driving time to reach the Coffin Bay Yacht Club at 146 The Esplanade.
What should I wear?
The boat is shaded, but conditions can vary with both hot sun and a cool breeze.
- Be sun smart: Wear a hat and sunscreen.
- Bring a light jacket: It can feel cooler on the water.
- Footwear advice: The jetty can feel sharp on bare feet, and there may be shell grit. While you’re unlikely to get wet, we recommend enclosed old shoes (in case they do get wet) or at least thongs for comfort and protection.

Will I get my feet wet?
It’s unlikely since the tour doesn’t involve walking through water. However, as we’re on a boat, there’s always a small chance of getting wet.
When do tours operate and how long is the season in Coffin Bay?
Tours in Coffin Bay run from September to April, aligning with the oyster spawning season. Spawning typically occurs when water temperatures reach 18°C, usually from November through April.
Is there food and beverages available on site?
For tours where this is advertised, food and drinks are available for purchase onboard. We don't extend tours over meal times, but for lunch, there are two great options across the road or the Coffin Bay Hotel nearby for more substantial meals.
Attention: Important information regarding shellfish and allergies
Shellfish will be served on the boat during the Crabbing and Seafood experience. If you have allergies, please notify our staff before boarding. While first aid and safety equipment are available onboard, we do not carry EpiPens due to storage limitations. Visitors with severe allergies are strongly advised to bring their own EpiPen and any other essential medical supplies.
Are there toilet facilities?
There are no toilets onboard, but public toilets are available about 400 meters from the departure point, near the main jetty.
